The SGL/LGBTQ+ Task Force of Manhattan Community Board 9 (MCB9) works to advance the interests of the SGL/LGBTQ+ community in CB9. In particular, the Task Force strives to:
- Create a safe and welcoming environment in CB9 for same-gender loving and LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
- Raise awareness of and find solutions to issues facing the SGL/LGBTQ+ community.
- Support SGL/LGBTQ+ organizations and businesses in MCB9.
- Achieve racial and gender equity in SGL/LGBTQ+ community in Harlem.
The Task Force is comprised of MCB9 Board Members, volunteers, and members of the community.
What we are working on:
