CANNABIS TASK FORCE
Meets: Fourth Thursday of Each Month
Co-Chairs: Miriam Aristy-Farer

Co-Chairs: Monique Hardin-Cordero

The CB9 Cannabis Task Force was established to ensure our community is informed, involved, and engaged in the emerging new industry. As a community situated in Northern Manhattan directly impacted by years of inequity and the war on drugs, the collateral impact is still visible in our neighborhoods. The CB9 Cannabis Task Force is committed to setting up our community to not just survive but thrive in the new cannabis market from wellness to economic opportunity.

This CB9 Task Force will:
1. Review, comment issue letters of suggested change on proposed regulations made by the Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) that impact CB9.

2. Engage with residents, community stakeholders, and industry leaders to inform and educate on opportunities and new information as necessary, as well as report back on industry updates.

3. Work with Full board on proposed guidelines by which CB9 will review and evaluate upcoming applications for retail and on-site consumption cannabis establishments, for comment to the Office of Cannabis Management, which guidelines shall (i) itemize specific uniform and objective criteria by which cannabis licenses will be reviewed and (ii) define parameters for acceptable methods of operation for cannabis establishments in our district;
